Jim is a highly experienced addiction professional with over 53 years of dedicated service. He holds credentials as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-Clinical Supervisor through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board and an Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium.

A champion of recovery himself, Jim has maintained 43 years of sobriety. He is a respected member of OAADAC/NAADAC since 2009 and was honored with the Mel Schulstad Professional of the Year Award in 2016. While semi-retired, Jim remains active in the field. He continues to provide valuable contributions through professional development training, community education, and facilitating weekly online support groups for families impacted by addiction. Jim is passionate about addressing the pervasive impact of substance use. He firmly believes that comprehensive education, prevention, treatment, and informed policies are crucial in significantly reducing the harm caused by alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
